Pluto Plus Tezuka Edition
Pluto Plus Tezuka Edition
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Pluto Plus Tezuka Edition is a carefully prepared SDR platform, configured by Whitehat Hardware to expose the full potential of the Pluto Plus hardware.
Each unit ships ready to run, booting Tezuka firmware from a dedicated 32 GB microSD card, with advanced capabilities enabled and a modern browser-based interface included. This configuration prioritizes stability, flexibility, and safe experimentation while remaining fully open and reversible.
You plug it in. You set the IP once. You’re on the air.
Core capabilities
- Frequency range: approximately 47.5 MHz to 6 GHz
- Architecture: 2× RX / 2× TX (2T2R)
- Frequency stability: 0.5 ppm TXCO
- Interfaces: Gigabit Ethernet and USB
- Access: Web browser and SDR software compatible with Pluto devices
- Firmware: Open, inspectable, and reversible
What Tezuka adds
- Extended frequency coverage, approximately 47.5 MHz to 6 GHz
- Improved streaming performance, especially over Ethernet
- Complex 8-bit mode to extend streaming bandwidth with host (approximately 14 MHz stable over USB and up to 45 MHz over Gigabit Ethernet)
- Flexible RX and TX channel control
- Maia SDR included for real-time spectrum viewing in any browser
- Audio gadget support for direct audio experimentation
- Fast sweep and wideband analysis modes
- Support for GPIO and integration-friendly status outputs on supported hardware
Why this configuration is special
This edition is configured to boot directly from microSD using the onboard SD-boot jumper. Running Tezuka from SD provides a safer, more flexible runtime than factory firmware stored in internal flash.
- Safer firmware upgrades and experimentation
- Easy recovery and reversibility
- Expanded services without risking onboard flash
This is a deliberate, professional configuration, done for you.
First-time network setup (one-time step)
Out of the box, the device defaults to the IP address 192.168.1.5.
- Connect to the device over USB
- Edit config.txt to set your desired IP
- Save and reboot
- Access the device over Ethernet going forward
After this one-time step, the device is designed to operate Ethernet-first.
What’s included
- Pluto Plus SDR hardware
- Tezuka firmware preinstalled on a 32 GB microSD card
- Soldered SD-boot jumper
- Maia SDR enabled for browser-based spectrum viewing
- Ethernet-first configuration for reliable access
No firmware flashing required.
Who this is for
The Pluto Plus Tezuka Edition is designed for RF engineers, researchers, educators, and serious experimenters who want an SDR that’s immediately useful, deeply open, and stable enough for long-running work.
Tezuka firmware is open source and community maintained. You can review the full project, features, and source code here:

Whitehat Hardware editions exist because defaults aren’t good enough.
This one is configured with intent so you can focus on signals, not setup.
